Ich wäre nicht der Priorat – Hammer, wenn es nicht inzwischen Jahr um Jahr all die Brillianten ins Glas geben würde, die der Schieferboden des Priorats hervorbringt. Und so gab es auch in 2011 jede Menge großer und auch Weltklasseweine ins Glas, Ältere und ganz junge zum Probieren für den Prioratführer. Es folgen insgesamt 61 exzellente Weine (93 bzw. 94/100) und 25 sehr gute Weine, die noch 90 und mehr Punkte erreicht haben.
Das ergibt für das Priorat insgesamt 857,5 (28+) Punkte. Im Vergleich zu allen anderen Gebieten wird hier meine Priorität inzwischen sehr deutlich. Da es aber immer wieder so viele großartige Weine aus diesem kleinen Gebiet gibt, fällt es mir nicht schwer, damit zu leben. Es gäbe schlimmere Aufgaben, als große Prioratos trinken zu müssen – nämlich keine großen Prioratos trinken zu dürfen…

Bei den Prioratweinen sind natürlich etliche ältere dabei, die es kaum noch irgendwo zu kaufen geben könnte, aber auch noch einige junge Musterflaschen, die bislang noch nicht im Verkauf zu finden sind. Und etliche dieser Weine habe ich nach der ausgiebigen Verkostung auch in das Programm meiner Prioratführerselektion aufgenommen.
